Johannes Helgert started as first PhD student in the group! He will be setting up the new Ba+ experiment and developing techniques based on quantum state engineering for precision quantum metrology and sensing.

My main research interests focus on precision quantum metrology with trapped ions for tests of fundamental physics. I aim to take advantage of quantum-enhanced techniques for more precise and robust measurements with engineered quantum states.
