The actual assignment for the multimedia casus may be formulated as follows:

digital dossier

Create a VR that realizes a digital dossier for a work of a particular artist. A digital dossier represents the information that is available for a particular work of art, or a collection of works, of a particular artist. The digital dossier should be multimedia-enhanced, that is include photographs, audio and other multimedia material in a compelling manner.

This description covers the intent and motivation of the assignment. To be somewhat more specific, the VR must satisfy the requirements listed below.

the VR must provide access to all the relevant information
the VR clarifies the information flow among the parties involved in the conservation and presentation the work(s)
the VR explains and illustrates the added value of the INCCA virtual knowledge center

These requirements are not exhaustive, as they do not include any indication concerning style and presentation qualities. With respect to the contents of the VR, keep in mind that the conservation of art is a delicate issue. Read the document about conservation ethics and the problem of modern art.
