What is ARchitect?

ARchitect is a JavaScript Framework for browser-based Augmented Reality Worlds. It allows you to develop Augmented Reality Worlds using HTML, JavaScript and CSS.

These simple four steps will get you up and running in no time.

Step 1: Read Getting Started

In our Getting Started Guide, you’ll find all the necessary tools and information. It also includes all the essentials you’ll need to get started with ARchitect.

Step 2: Try Hello World

We prepared a Hello World example for you to test and play around with.

Step 3: Work through tutorials

In order to dive deeper into ARchitect, work through our tutorials which explain each component of ARchitect and how you can get the most out of it. The tutorials are built upon each other, starting with the easiest and finishing with a fully-fledge ARchitect example, so we suggest working through them in consequence.

Step 4: ARchitect Publishing

ARchitect Worlds are published as normal Wikitude Worlds like any other. Log-in into the DevZone and create an ARchitect World. Enter the URL where your ARchitect World is hosted. However there is one difference compared to other Worlds:

Boundaries (required)

You need to define boundaries for your ARchitect World. This means you need to define the geographic area in which your ARchitect World actually returns content to the user.. This is necessary as not every ARchitect content has a geo-position attached (think of a HUD). Boundaries are easily defined in the DevZone.

Note: In case your World covers a large geographic area, your World will be reviewed by our Content Team.
