MixKin is a script for likelihood ratio calculations on DNA mixtures,
written in the programming language Mathematica. It needs a license of
that software to run, see the Wolfram website.
It is an implementation of a discrete (also called semi-continuous)
forensic DNA mixture evaluation model for weight of evidence
calculations.
Each contributor can be assigned a separate probability of dropout, and kinship can be taken into account.
MixKin has been used to carry out the simulations described in publications (18) up to (22).
Download the latest version here (currently 1.6). The file MixKin contains the definitions needed for the computations.
